DeAndre Hopkins has supposedly decided to join the Tennessee Titans this upcoming season, according to a report by ESPN’s Dianna Russini. He is set to sign a two-year deal and earn $12 million in his first year with incentives up to $15 million, according to Russini.

After the breaking report,  Hopkins tweeted, “I always loved having haters and doubters but I appreciate it even more now. Titan up!!”

The 31-year-old has been one of the best, if not the best, wide receivers in the NFL over the past decade. Throughout his career, Hopkins has played in 145 games—making 854 receptions for 11,298 yards and 71 touchdowns. He is a five-time Pro Bowler and posted 104 catches for 1,165 yards and seven touchdowns in 2019 when current Titans Offensive Coordinator Tim Kelly served as Offensive Coordinator for the Houston Texans.

Hopkins will instantaneously become wide receiver No. 1 for the Titans as they suffered offensive woes last season with the worst passing offense in the NFL. The team’s wide receiver group had a total of two 100-yard receiving games. Hopkins was able to match that 100 yard total despite missing the first six games of the season after being suspended for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drugs policy. He finished the 2022-2023 season with 64 catches for 717 yards and three touchdowns in nine games.

After spending spending seven years with the Texans, he spent the last three with the Arizona Cardinals but was released on May 26.
