Tennessee Titans Become First NFL Team To Accept Bitcoin
The Tennessee Titans are stepping into new waters as they have begun accepting Bitcoin for investments through a third-party conversion service, as well as for purchasing season tickets, suites and sponsorships, according to the Nashville Post.
According to the report, the Titans will only accept Bitcoin for major and large purchases or reoccurring purchases but plan to accept the cryptocurrency for single-ticket purchases, merchandise and stadium concessions in the future.
The club also partnered with UTXO Management—a Nashville-based digital asset fund—and Bitcoin Magazine, which is also based in Nashville, according to the report.
In March, Nashville SC partnered with Valkyrie Investments, a local investment manager focused on digital assets, as a Founding Partner. The club accepted its full partnership fee in Bitcoin becoming the first MLS club to do so.
