Titans Set To Play Bengals In Divisional Playoff Round At Nissan Stadium
After a long Super Wild Card weekend, the Divisional Rounds are set. Coming out on the other side, the Tennessee Titans will be hosting the Cincinnati Bengals led by red hot Joe Burrow.
The Bengals defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 26-19 on Saturday, Jan 15. Burrow threw two touchdowns for 244 yards in the Bengals first playoff win in 31 years.
Tennessee’s defense will be a key to stopping Burrow and the Bengals. The Titans defense ranks at sixth best in the league while the Bengals passing offense ranking seventh. The big guys on the defensive line, such as Jeffery Simmons, will need to add pressure to Burrow and his star running back, Joe Mixon.
Burrow finished the season with 14 interceptions, tied for eighth most with Ryan Tannehill and Patrick Mahomes. The Titans defensive secondary will also be a key factor in stopping Burrow and in leading Tennessee to victory.
The AFC Divisional Round Playoff game will take place on Saturday Jan. 22 at 3:30 p.m. CT at Nissan Stadium. It will be broadcast on CBS and Paramount+.
The Titans and Bengals most recently met on Nov. 1, 2020, a game won 31-20 by the Bengals in Cincinnati.
